My daughter Roma wanted to shoot a medium format camera. This is her first attempt.
Here is what she thought of it....
To give some background to these photographs, this is my Nan. For my A level photography work i have been inspired by Glen Erler and his Family Tree project. In these images i am looking at the memory of my Grandad hence my Nan holding photographs of him. These are places they used to go and sit together.
The camera was very easy to use. This was the first medium format camera i have ever used and my first attempt with Kodak Portra film. The meter is simple to use when you look down through the camera, with the shutter and aperture to each side.
I am very happy with these images especially how the shadows have come out. I enjoyed using the Yashica and recommend it to anyone looking to try a medium format TLR due to its usability.
